Happy December, friends! Can you believe that it’s already December 2? November sure flew by. I’ve started to get in to the holiday spirit, and am planning to have a little decorating party for my apartment later this week, but in the meantime, let’s get some gift guides going!
I always love putting these guides together, rounding up some of the prettiest things I’ve seen around the internet lately. This one is for your friend who always has a Pinterest-worthy apartment and likes to spend her money on treasures for her space.
Watercolor Plate: These plates are stunning, handpainted, and basically a home-lover’s dream. Order one for a special treat for her, or a set if you feel like splurging a bit.
Hand Painted Mug: This limited addition mug (also handmade) would make for a very special addition to her morning (and afternoon, and evening) cup of tea.
Copper Hangers: The details are important to her, and these hangers would be the perfect home for her capsule wardrobe. Minimalist in their design, they’ll add serious chicness to her cramped closet.
Sheesham Wood Spoons: These pretty little spoons will fit in perfectly amongst her many tablescapes.
Have you started/finished your holiday shopping? (I haven’t started :/) I’d love to hear what you’ve picked up so far!

Today I’m super excited to be sharing a post that I collaborated on with the new online retailer PlaidFox. As far as companies go, they’re the coolest, offering unique pieces that you’ll certainly be adding to your wish list. From stunning mid-century style furniture, to quirky little items to liven up any shelf, they’ve definitely got a lot to offer.
In order to shed some light on all of the great options that PlaidFox carries, I thought it would be fun to recreate one of my favourite decor images using PlaidFox products. I’m obsessed with every room that Sarah of Smitten Studio puts together, so naturally I wanted to recreate the feel of one of her spaces. That sofa from PlaidFox is definitely on my wish list now!
I would highly recommend that you jump over to PlaidFox and check out their growing selection. And want to know what I’m most excited about? The awesome people behind PlaidFox will soon be releasing their own line of designs! Can you say empty wallet? :) Would you like to learn more about PlaidFox and the exciting things they’re up to? Follow them on Twitter, and get some decor inspiration of your own by following along on Pinterest.
This post is in collaboration with PlaidFox. All opinions are most definitely my own.
I hope you’re in the mood for some decor inspiration! I’ve got a fun post from the awesome online retailer One Kings Lane and I’m so excited to share it with you. I’ve been a fan of the site for a while, and love all of the partnerships they do with designers and creatives. When they asked me to put together my dream vanity, I was more than happy to oblige.
One thing that I’ve been on the hunt for since we moved into our new apartment is a big, beautiful mirror to hang over our dresser. We were lucky enough to borrow a gorgeous mid-century dresser from Will’s family, and I wanted a big mirror to go with it. Mirrors seem to be one of the trickier pieces to find, probably because they become such a focal point. Thankfully, One Kings Lane has a great selection of mirrors, so if you’re on the hunt like I am, be sure to check them out!
When we moved into our apartment, I had already planned how most of the decorating would go. I deemed our style a combo between mid-century modern and feminine vintage – think teak furniture mixed with vintage teacups and pops of peach. Plus, a whole lot of copper, brass, and gold to add a little pop. One area of our place that I’ve yet to finish up is the “vanity” area (currently a dresser with piles of homeless items on top). Because of this, I had a great time browsing through One Kings Lane and putting together my little dream vanity.
If you’re on the hunt for a piece for your home (big or little!) be sure to check out One Kings Lane. From stunning rugs to sweet little decor accents, you’re sure to find something to add to your wish list.
